Introducing a revolution in drainage technology, the Polybed system comprises a geosynthetic aggregate manufactured from recycled expanded polystyrene, engineered for optimum performance with consistent form. This surrounds a three metre length of standard perforated pipe and is kept in place with netting clamped to both ends of the pipe. The whole structure is then encased in a non-woven geotextile for enhanced filtration and reduces the risk of long term clogging.

The 3m long sections of Polybed are simply joined together by the use of proprietary couplers (supplied with your order).

The system is simplicity itself to install, just dig the trench, join and lay the Polybed sections in place in the trench and backfill. There is no need for costly aggregates and time spent in the trench is reduced or even eliminated thus reducing CMD on site. Health and safety is reduced further as Polybed is extremely lightweight. It is four times faster to install than a traditional system and typically can be installed by just one operative with minimum plant.

With 35% more surface area than natural aggregates, the flow rates and water treatment capabilities are enhanced. This makes Polybed an ideal SUDS (sustainable urban drainage systems) solution.
